In-home dog training in Shawnee
Need a dog trainer in Shawnee, KS? KJT Gentle Dog Training offers certified, in-home training for Shawnee families and throughout Johnson County. All breeds welcome, puppies to adults — I come to your home so your dog learns where it lives.
Every training contract begins with an assessment so I can understand your dog's history, your goals, and what's really going on before any formal training starts. From there, each package includes 6 sessions — all using 100% positive reinforcement. No choke chains, no shock collars, no intimidation.
I serve families throughout Shawnee, including areas near Shawnee Mission Park, Nieman Road corridor, and communities across northern Johnson County.
Why in-home training works
Home is where your dog's behavior actually plays out — the jumping at the door, the pulling on walks, the chaos at mealtimes. Training there means real results in real life.
- Your dog learns in the environment where behaviors actually happen
- No stressful car rides or unfamiliar training facilities
- Your whole family can participate in every session
- Skills transfer immediately to real daily life
"Kelly was amazing with our dog. She came right to our home and worked with our whole family. We saw real improvement after just a couple of sessions."
